Teen Facts
Teen Facts is an exhibition about the head, the heart and the hormones. Through its playful, exciting and personal approach, Teen Facts brings the science behind puberty to life. In this exhibition, teenagers will find explanations, excuses, facts and figures about typical teenage phenomena. It is NEMO’s way of supporting teenagers during this dynamic period in which so many things change in such a short space of time. In turn, they discover how their bodies are capable of such a transformation.
Teen Facts is exciting, eye-opening, engaging and hilarious all at the same time. The exhibition transports visitors to the world as it is experienced by teenagers. Puberty is the phase in their lives that most people can still remember vividly: hectic and confusing. And that is not without reason. New technologies are teaching us more and more about this period of rapid growth. The bodies of boys and girls’ develop into bodies that can reproduce. But that’s not all. A storm rages in teenagers’ heads. Different areas of the brain are growing and it shows!
Teen Facts is for all ages. Teenagers can find out what is happening to them and gain insight into typical teenage phenomena. As a result, they will learn to understand themselves and their peers better. Older visitors will have fun reliving their teen years and parents will gain a better understanding of their teenage son or daughter. Younger visitors will find out what to expect in the coming years.
