NEMO has been the Netherlands’ largest science center for more than 10 years, attracting around 400,000 tourists (Dutch and foreign), schoolchildren, teachers and students every year. Based on visitor numbers, NEMO is one of the largest ‘museological’ institutions in the Netherlands. Around 75,000 visitors a year come from educational institutions.

NEMO shows visitors that science and technology are fun, inspiring and fascinating. NEMO’s unique programming contributes to:

  • The development of social support for (investment in) science and technology;
  • An increase in the number of young people choosing to study or work in science and technology;
  • The realisation that science and technology form a vital part of our cultural heritage and contribute to our cultural development.

Ideal platform
NEMO is the ideal platform for effective communication with a broad public, educational institutions and the different stakeholders in the fields of science and technology. Just some of the forms that cooperation can take are knowledge exchange, sponsoring in the form of money or in kind and joint marketing and communications activities.
